Our gym offers access to all

The Inclusive Fitness Initiative (IFI) is a Sport England Lottery Funded project that supports not for profit fitness facilities to become Inclusive, catering for the needs of disabled and non-disabled people alike.

We have provided easy access specialist fitness equipment and implemented staff training to ensure fitness is accessible for all.

Our accessible features include

  • Sci-fit hand bikes with removable chairs for ease of access to wheelchairs
  • A wide range of resistance machine excellent for wheelchair access
  • High visibility straps, levers, numbering and reflective strips for the visually impaired
  • A dedicated individual changing room with a nice large shower, toilet facilities, lockers and direct access into the Health Suite.
  • Lifts located on the ground floor with direct access into the gym

Text size controls

This web site has been built so that the text size can be increased or decreased through standard browser settings. Below is guidance on how to do this in a selection of popular browsers.

Firefox

Using the menu:

  1. Click 'View'
  2. Click 'Zoom'
  3. Choose 'Zoom in' or 'Zoom out'

Keyboard shortcut: Hold the Ctrl key down and move the mouse wheel or by use Ctrl & '+' and Ctrl & '-'.

Chrome

Using the menu:

  1. Click on the spanner button to the right of the address bar
  2. Choose zoom '+' or '-'

Keyboard shortcut: Hold the Ctrl key down and move the mouse wheel or by use Ctrl & '+' and Ctrl & '-'.

IE 9

In Internet Explorer 9 the always-visible control has been removed.

Using the menu:

  1. Click on the cog icon in the top right
  2. Click 'Zoom'
  3. Choose the desired size

Keyboard shortcut: Hold the Ctrl key down and move the mouse wheel or by use Ctrl & '+' and Ctrl & '-'.

IE 8

IE 8 has a size-change facility permanently on view: the button in the bottom-right corner. This can be used to zoom the whole page (text and images).

Using the menu:

  1. Click 'View'
  2. Click 'Zoom'
  3. Choose the desired size

Keyboard shortcut: Hold the Ctrl key down and move the mouse wheel back or forward.
