Free Weights

Our free weights room offers specialist equipment with heavier weights.

For those of you that are seriously into your weight lifting or body building, we have a specialised Free Weights Room to help you achieve all of your strength goals.

Free Weights Area

Our heavy weights area has the following features:

  • Smith Machine
  • Squat Rack
  • Lying Leg Press
  • Preacher Bench
  • Calf Raise
  • Olympic Standard Bar
  • Incline Bench
  • Flat Bench
  • 2 Cable Machines
  • Lat Pull Down
  • Dumbells up to 40kg

We also have a range of weight plates available to load the machines with.

You will be required to complete a special induction session prior to using the free weights area. Please book with reception on 01403 211311.

Text size controls

This web site has been built so that the text size can be increased or decreased through standard browser settings. Below is guidance on how to do this in a selection of popular browsers.

Firefox

Using the menu:

  1. Click 'View'
  2. Click 'Zoom'
  3. Choose 'Zoom in' or 'Zoom out'

Keyboard shortcut: Hold the Ctrl key down and move the mouse wheel or by use Ctrl & '+' and Ctrl & '-'.

Chrome

Using the menu:

  1. Click on the spanner button to the right of the address bar
  2. Choose zoom '+' or '-'

Keyboard shortcut: Hold the Ctrl key down and move the mouse wheel or by use Ctrl & '+' and Ctrl & '-'.

IE 9

In Internet Explorer 9 the always-visible control has been removed.

Using the menu:

  1. Click on the cog icon in the top right
  2. Click 'Zoom'
  3. Choose the desired size

Keyboard shortcut: Hold the Ctrl key down and move the mouse wheel or by use Ctrl & '+' and Ctrl & '-'.

IE 8

IE 8 has a size-change facility permanently on view: the button in the bottom-right corner. This can be used to zoom the whole page (text and images).

Using the menu:

  1. Click 'View'
  2. Click 'Zoom'
  3. Choose the desired size

Keyboard shortcut: Hold the Ctrl key down and move the mouse wheel back or forward.
