Parkour

Parkour is the discipline of overcoming mental and physical obstacles through efficient movement and overcoming any barriers in your path using running, jumping balancing, climbing, crawling and rolling. The challenge never ends and training requires constant problem solving and concentration.

Momentum Parkour classes, working in partnership with Dorking Sports Centre, will introduce the concepts of Parkour including its history, key figures in the Parkour world and of course the movement through games, exercises and personal coaching.

Free running and Parkour both exist as part of l’art du dA©placement (the art of movement). At these Parkour classes a mixture of creative and efficient movements are taught to give the participants as much opportunity as possible to explore their limits in a safe environment.

Sound interested? Then why not come down to Dorking Sports Centre and experience Parkour for yourself. Your first session is completely free.

We have been coaching Parkour for over six years and our coaches are Qualified with Parkour UK and have completed safeguarding training with Sports Coach UK. We take a unique approach to coaching by stopping at nothing to remove barriers to participation (we teach Parkour after all!) and will consider an individual’s preferred learning style and pace of progression when coaching. This includes offering support during the week and through our new optional Logbook.

We hope to see you soon!
