We run a number of additional programmes that are designed to suit specific training needs or personal goals. These courses are available to full members, more card holders and non members.

HIIT NEW!

The new HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) is the most popular form of group training out there at the moment. If you need a quick trick to get your body into shape, then this is it! Sessions are taught in groups where you will be supported and pushed to your fitness limits by one of our brilliant, motivating trainers, to really get the most out of your workout.

If you want to improve not just how you look, but how you feel then give HIIT a go and experience these short intense repetitive snippets of cardiovascular exercise, with like minded individuals.

Pilates Course

Let our instructors teach you the basics with our 6 week Pilates beginners course. Learn to use your muscles with control, working in harmony with your breathing.

Street Dance

Looking for a fun workout where you won;t even feel like yo';re burning calories? The NEW Street Dance course is designed to work every inch of your body, whilst learning dance moves to an upbeat soundtrack.

Gym Challenges

As well as our fantastic fitness courses we also run gym challenges throughout the year to allow gym users to compete against each other on themed challenges. These may include:

  • 'Row the East Channel'
  • 'Calorie Bank Challenge'
  • 'Gold Challenge'

In Internet Explorer 9 the always-visible control has been removed.

Using the menu:

  1. Click on the cog icon in the top right
  2. Click 'Zoom'
  3. Choose the desired size

Keyboard shortcut: Hold the Ctrl key down and move the mouse wheel or by use Ctrl & '+' and Ctrl & '-'.

IE 8

IE 8 has a size-change facility permanently on view: the button in the bottom-right corner. This can be used to zoom the whole page (text and images).

Using the menu:

  1. Click 'View'
  2. Click 'Zoom'
  3. Choose the desired size
