Children’s Intensive Swim Lessons

Monday 13th – Friday 17th February

National Pool Lifeguard Qualification

Course must be booked in advance – maximum of 12 candidates

Course:  Sunday 12th - Friday 17th February

Time:   Sunday 11.00-5.00pm & Monday – Friday 8.00am – 6.00pm

Exam Starts: 1.30pm Friday

Age:   16+

Cost:   £199 (including qualifications and certifications)

With this new and improved Qualification, not only will you become a fully trained lifeguard, you will also get qualified in using the defibrillator and cover emergency first aid at work. These qualifications are nationally recognised and comprise practical and theoretical lifesaving skills.

Candidates Must have good hearing and sight, be able to swim 100m on the front and back without stopping using competent Breaststroke and Frontcrawl, and be able to reach the bottom of the pool at the deep end (2metres).

Things to bring: Swim wear, shorts, t-shirt, whistle and packed lunch



All Activities must be booked in advance.

Things to bring: Snack & a drink for under 8’s & packed lunch & Swim kit for over 8’s (please bring drinks in a sports cap bottle to avoid spillage).


Tumble and Fun        

Monday 13th February 9.30-11.30am

£3.50 per person

Join us for fun on the Bouncy Castle and Soft Play. You will get the chance to build it up and knock it down using bricks and pieces of soft play and lots of time for a bounce and tumble on the castle. There may also be opportunity for some traditional party games to help develop social and individual skills.

Parents/guardians welcome to stay and play.

Let’s get Messy!

Come and join us in this fun packed session where we will be exploring the world through arts and crafts, in various themes where we will be colouring, cutting, sticking, painting and generally creating mess!

Crazy Creatures        

Thursday 16th February 10.00-11.00am

 £5.00 per person

This session offers something very different with lots to learn and lots of fun to be had for all ages. With a whole host of amazing creatures from reptiles to insects, invertebrates to amphibians, there is plenty to see, admire and handle including snakes and lizards.

All of the animals are owned by Ian and Amy as pets and are assessed for risk and temperament to ensure a fantastic display with the safety of the children and animals.

In this exciting bouncing session suitable for all abilities, our qualified coach will teach you how to jump and move on the trampoline correctly and safely. So come along, give it a go and have some fun!

Disability Cricket Tournament     

Friday 17th February 4.00-6.00pm

Ferndown Leisure Centre and Wayfarers Cricket Club have joined together to hold a cricket session for people with disabilities. Junior Gym Sessions

Monday 13th – Saturday 19th February 11.00am–12.00pm & 2.00-3.00pm

Junior training sessions for 11-15 year olds are held in our gym. All juniors must complete an induction and on completion you can attend the supervised sessions, where instructors can help you with your programme so you can exercise safely.
