Learn to swim with Swimming Academy
Our lessons follows the ASA (Amateur Swimming Association's) learn to swim framework. The swimmers journey through aquatics will result in the development of a wide range of skills. These skills when put together with fun and games result in a competent, confident and safe swimmer.

Through an internet based Home Portal parents/guardians will be able to access information about your child’s swimming lessons including:
- Your child’s performance against the key competencies for their course level E.g. Swim 100m efficient backstroke.
- A rating from the teacher on how they are doing against this competency E.g. Needs practice/ Fair/ Good
- Notification of when your child is ready to move up a level and the ability to choose from the available times for your child to move into
- Record of all assessments and pass dates for each level
All swimming lessons are paid on a direct debit basis. These payments are taken on the 28th of every month (excluding weekends and bank holidays where it will be taken earlier at the closest possible date). All new swimmers are required to pay a one off administration fee of £15.
If you wish to enrol your child on toSwimAcademyplease pop into the centre and fill out an enrolment form and direct debit mandate.

Adult Swimming Programme
From Learner to Advanced, these sessions aim to improve confidence in the water leading to developing stroke techniques and stamina. Ideal if you have a fear of the water, panic just think of the deep end or even ideal training for competitive swimming!
Not a strong swimmer? If you learn to swim you can have fun in the water with your friends, children and grandchildren. You can also make a splash in the water while on holiday. The important thing to know is that you are not alone. One in five adults across the country can't swim - but it's never too late to learn. Our pool offers adult classes in a friendly and supportive environment. Our learner lessons take things at comfortable pace - starting off with teaching you to how to stand up and regain your feet, float and move through the water without fear before being taught specific strokes.
If you are unsure about starting lessons, ask if you can watch a class or two to get a better idea of whether it's for you, or ask to speak with one of the teachers.
Led by qualified Swimming Teachers, this adult lane class on Tuesdays 10.55am - 11.40am aims to help develop technique on all strokes and increase stamina. This class is attended on a drop in basis and is paid for on the day at reception.
