A range of activities to enjoy in the pool
An aerobics session in the pool that can maintain and improve stamina, strength and suppleness as well as increase cardiovascular fitness. Unlike aerobics on land Aqua Fit is low-impact and the cushioning effect of the water protects joints in the spine, ankle, hip and knees. It is suitable for people of all ages and abilities as participants can work at a variety of levels by increasing effort and using resistive equipment.
Tired of plodding the streets or the treadmill? Hydro Jog let's you take your run to the pool! This class allows you to have the workout of your normal run but with the added challenge of water resistance. Unlike normal running, Hydro Jog involves no impact, so it's fantastic if your returning from injury or you just want to give your joints a break from your usual routine.
This is a great programme for children who are already at complete swimmer level or have reached stage 9 of River Park Swimming Academy's ASA national plan for teaching. These courses include:
- Water Polo
- Snorkelling (personal snorkelling equipment must be provided)
- Sprint Swims
Led by qualified Swimming Teachers, this adult lane class on Tuesdays 10.35am - 11.20am aims to help develop technique on all strokes and increase stamina.
