We run a number of courses that provide young people and adults with life skills, as well as qualifications which can be used to gain employment in the leisure industry.

Lifeguard Courses

The National Pool Lifeguard Qualification is the professional qualification for lifeguards to work at a swimming pool.

This course offers an excellent opportunity for young people and adults looking to gain employment in the leisure industry.

The next course at Hurst Pool and Playhouse Village Hall runs from 9th November 2013 until the 24th November 2013.(3 weekends)

Courses cost £240.00*.

*Special Offer: Pay £10 for a Emergency First Aid at work and/or pay £10 for a AED (Defib) Provider Qualification.

    Using the menu:

    1. Click 'View'

    Using the menu:

    IE 9

    In Internet Explorer 9 the always-visible control has been removed.

    Using the menu:

    1. Click on the cog icon in the top right
    2. Click 'Zoom'
    3. Choose the desired size

    Keyboard shortcut: Hold the Ctrl key down and move the mouse wheel or by use Ctrl & '+' and Ctrl & '-'.

    IE 8

    IE 8 has a size-change facility permanently on view: the button in the bottom-right corner. This can be used to zoom the whole page (text and images).

    Using the menu:

    1. Click 'View'
    2. Click 'Zoom'
    3. Choose the desired size

    Keyboard shortcut: Hold the Ctrl key down and move the mouse wheel back or forward.
