Our gym offers access to all

We have provided easy access specialist fitness equipment and implemented staff training to ensure fitness is accessible for all.

Our accessible features include:

  • Designated parking bays close to the entrance
  • Drop level counter at reception
  • Automatic doors with extra wide corridors
  • Lift access
  • Disabled toilets
  • Tactile signage
  • Large fully fitted disabled changing rooms with lockers in all areas
  • Hearing loop systems at Reception, Gym, Dance Studio and Multi Function Room
  • A range of gym equipment suitable for disabled users
  • Shallow gradient pool access steps
  • Pool hoist to allow access to both pools along with sling or chair option
  • Shower chairs
  • Electronic changing bed in pool changing rooms with hoist to aid mobility
  • Floatsation equipment for use by disabled swimmers in order to gain water confidence and still have the freedom to swim unrestricted
  • Large format print of Centre Brochures and other formats on request
  • We are prod to be accredited with the Inclusive Fitness Intitiative (IFI). An award given to Centres that are equipped and accessible for disabled customers.

Helpful and friendly staff trained to assist all our users and make their visit to us an enjoyable one.

Some of our equipment is kept out of sight for safety and storage reasons but is easily available on request. Just ask at Reception or any of our staff and they will gladly assist.

Using the menu:

Using the menu:

  1. Click on the spanner button to the right of the address bar
  2. Choose zoom '+' or '-'

IE 9

In Internet Explorer 9 the always-visible control has been removed.

Using the menu:

  1. Click on the cog icon in the top right
  2. Click 'Zoom'
  3. Choose the desired size

Keyboard shortcut: Hold the Ctrl key down and move the mouse wheel or by use Ctrl & '+' and Ctrl & '-'.

IE 8

IE 8 has a size-change facility permanently on view: the button in the bottom-right corner. This can be used to zoom the whole page (text and images).

Using the menu:

  1. Click 'View'
  2. Click 'Zoom'
  3. Choose the desired size

Keyboard shortcut: Hold the Ctrl key down and move the mouse wheel back or forward.
