Our pool is a fantastic way for people of all ages to stay fit, healthy and relax. We do however have some dedicated sessions especially for adults aged 50+.

Here are some of our current sessions, but please check out our timetable for times and prices.

50+ Swim

We run a number of 50+ swim sessions, which gives you exclusive use of the pool for a nice relaxing swim.

Check out our Timetable for up to date times on when these sessions take place.

Aquatic Fitness

We offer a range of aquatic fitness classes that can help you stay fit in a motivating and fun environment.

Please note that these classes are open to anybody over the age of 16, so why not come along with friends or family. For more information or to book a place on a class, please contact reception on 01773 537940.

Aqua Fit

Aqua Fit is an aerobics session in the pool that can maintain and improve stamina, strength and suppleness as well as increase cardiovascular fitness. Unlike aerobics on land, Aqua Fit is low-impact and the cushioning effect of the water protects joints in the spine, ankle, hip and knees. It is suitable for people of all ages and abilities as participants can work at a variety of levels by increasing effort and using resistive equipment.

Aqua Jogging

An instructor led activity, for those who wish to use the positive benefits of water, such as resistance and buoyancy to gain a highly effective workout that has low or no impact on joints. This class is primarily based in the deep end of the pool.

Aqua Circuits

For those who prefer a more targeted workout, Aqua Circuits is the aquatic equivalent to circuits in the gym. Based on a range of activities and movements, participants use equipment such as weights and specialised floats and move between stations to tone specific muscle groups. Workouts often include an element aimed at improving aerobic fitness.

Forever Active

Aimed specifically at people aged 50+, these sessions involve gentle aerobic activity aimed at improving general health and wellbeing. There are two parts to Forever Active, the Dryside session and the Pool session, which follow on from each other. There is a tea and coffee session at the end of the dryside activity, if you wanted to chill out for short while afterwards. Non-members can book both of the Friday morning sessions for the special price of £5.30, or you can pay for the individual session (wet or dry) if preferred. Forever Active runs at the following times:

Dryside session - Fridays 10-11am

Pool sesion - Fridays 11:15-12midday

For further information on any of the above or to book onto one of the classes, please do not hesitate to contact Reception on 01773 537940.
