Wycombe District Swimming Club

Wycombe District Swimming Club (WDSC) is a competitive swimming club which aims to develop the swimming ability of children living in Wycombe and surrounding areas. The club trains at Wycombe Leisure Centre, High Wycombe and Risborough Springs, Princes Risborough.

In every sporting organisation, the higher the peak you aim for, the broader base you need. For this reason, the Club caters for a range of swimmers from those who are just ready to begin their first steps in swimming right up to full international level swimmers. A swimmer's individual progress and improvement, at whatever standard, are what give satisfaction to the club and its coaches as well as to the swimmers themselves. Wycombe District Swimming Club provides coaching for all ages and levels of swimmer, and all are welcome.

Our aim is to provide an enjoyable environment in which to: Help swimmers fulfil their individual potential, and prepare them to compete at a level appropriate to their ability.

The club is led by Olympic Coach Kevin Brooks who has a formidable team of other coaches and voluntary coaches supporting him and the club is currently ranked as one of the TOP 10 UK Clubs, after the 2015 British Summer Championships.

Importantly the club has a big Academy program that provides training for our 11 and under. Training 1, 2 or 3 times per week swimmers are given the best start in swimming afer successfully moving through the Wycombe Leisure Centre Swimming Lessons. Swimmers are regularly talent scouted from the lessons at the sports centre and offered places in our Bronze academy program.

As well as our Academy, Performance and Competitive offerings, WDSC also offers training for:
