Places for People Leisure specialises in the development and management of leisure facilities on behalf of Local Authorities throughout the UK. The company was formed in 1991 and has spent its working life in this increasingly important community service, operating and optimising the performance of public leisure centres in partnership with its Local Authority clients. Today Places for People Leisure is one of the largest leisure contractors employing circa 9,000 people and managing over 100 leisure centres on behalf of 35 clients. 

We regard creating and sustaining a quality service as the heart of our approach to leisure facility management. Our Quality Management System (QMS) covers all aspects of service delivery through regularly updated operating manuals and training to ensure that staff understand what is required to deliver a quality service to our customers and to ensure that legal requirements and the Continuous Improvement imperative of Best Value are met. In Internet Explorer 9 the always-visible control has been removed.

Using the menu:

  1. Click on the cog icon in the top right
  2. Click 'Zoom'
  3. Choose the desired size

Keyboard shortcut: Hold the Ctrl key down and move the mouse wheel or by use Ctrl & '+' and Ctrl & '-'.

IE 8

IE 8 has a size-change facility permanently on view: the button in the bottom-right corner. This can be used to zoom the whole page (text and images).

Using the menu:

  1. Click 'View'
  2. Click 'Zoom'
  3. Choose the desired size
