Apprenticeship Provider of the Year 2013
DC leisure were crowned the Apprenticeship Provider of the Year, in partnership with Lifetime Training, at the 2013 Active Leisure Awards.
With more than 350 of our apprentices achieving qualifications each year, Lifetime Training has now helped 1,800 young DC staff achieve career and personal success.
The impact of Lifetime Training on our business has been huge. We have very low staff turnover rates and in our annual online survey completed by 80% of staff the training offered by Lifetime is always highly commended.
Our programme regularly has the highest completion rates in the sector and the very low member attrition rates DC Leisure experiences is largely due to the interactive instructor programmes undertaken with Lifetime.
We see the Lifetime Trainers as an extension of our training team; they have great relationships with our managers and really know our business. The quality of the team member that has been delivered has made a huge difference to our recruitment and training process. All of the apprentices are enthusiastic and totally passionate about working in the industry.

Apprenticeships include qualifications for gym staff, fitness instructors, managers and personal trainers, as well as Apprenticeship training to support a range of job roles within a leisure environment from coaching and operations, front of house and sales through to back office business administration and even those working in the crèche or retail outlet.
