DC Leisure bolsters Business Development Team
Following its recent acquisition by Places for People, John Bates, Head of Business Development for DC Leisure is pleased to announce a number of key appointments.
With a total of 50 years’ experience in the leisure industry, Kamran Tirmizey, Damian Watts and Jamie Woods will move from their current positions as DC Leisure Contract Managers to Business Development Managers in April. They will work alongside DC Leisure’s current Business Development Managers Robin Knight and Dan Walker.
As a team, the three newly appointed Business Development Managers have worked for DC Leisure in excess of 35 years, working closely with Local Authorities throughout, so will be well placed to hit the ground running and maximise opportunities for contract wins across the UK.
The Business Development Managers will be supported by newly appointed Business Development Coordinator Victoria O’Neill, who joins the company with extensive third sector experience including, most recently, a role at a children’s and families trust. In addition DC Leisure will be appointing an additional Business Development Assistant and Technical Support Manager.
John Bates, Head of Business Development for DC Leisure, says: “Since being acquired by Places for People we are now able to actively tender for contracts in a much wider marketplace. This has allowed us to significantly expand our team in order to prepare for the numerous exciting opportunities ahead.”
John continues: “The new additions to the Business Development Team have a fantastic range of skill sets and experience which will continue to drive the business forward on our mission to make more people, more active, more often.”
