Places for People Leisure are finalists at this year’s prestigious ukactive Training Award

Places for People Leisure are finalists at this year’s prestigious ukactive Training Awards in the Large Employer of the Year, Health and Wellbeing Training Programme of the Year and Most Inspiring Physical Activity Professional categories.

The Active Training Awards delivered by ukactive and CIMSPA and sponsored by Active IQ recognises exceptional performance and commitment in the Physical Activity sector particularly in relation to vocational education, training and development.

Richard Latham, within Places for People Leisure’s Wiltshire Contract has been nominated as a finalist for Most Inspiring Physical Activity Professional. Richard has been a Fitness Manager with the company since 2001 and became responsible for the GP Referral scheme in 2009 in partnership with Wiltshire Council and the NHS; increasing referrals from 350 to over 1,000 yearly.

Richard’s mantra is “if you train people right, they will develop and if you treat people right, they will stay”. Richard is enthusiastic, passionate and dedicated, not only about his own development but about the on-going development of his team.

The training awards are due to take place on 3rd November 2015 in Marlow.

In Internet Explorer 9 the always-visible control has been removed.

Using the menu:

  1. Click on the cog icon in the top right
  2. Click 'Zoom'
  3. Choose the desired size

Keyboard shortcut: Hold the Ctrl key down and move the mouse wheel or by use Ctrl & '+' and Ctrl & '-'.

IE 8

IE 8 has a size-change facility permanently on view: the button in the bottom-right corner. This can be used to zoom the whole page (text and images).

Using the menu:

  1. Click 'View'
  2. Click 'Zoom'
  3. Choose the desired size
