Places for People Leisure Deemed Top Class by IQL

For the third consecutive year, Places for People Leisure were visited and assessed by the IQL and achieved a score of 100%. The four centres, visited in November as part of the review were, Wolverhampton, The Activity Zone (Malmesbury), Farnborough and Waters Edge.

The annual review is part of the ongoing audit of the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) and First Aid at Work Qualification. The assessment ensures each centre complies with the IQL’s standards and looks at the operation of each centre’s courses, paperwork, ongoing training, equipment, and for the first year, First Aid at Work.

Places for People Leisure have delivered over 450 First Aid qualification and over 1600 National Pool Lifeguard Qualification courses since January 2014.

Chief Executive of Places for People Leisure, Sandra Dodd adds: “The safety and wellbeing of our members and visitors is an absolute priority. By ensuring our NPLQ courses are delivered to the highest possible standards means our lifeguards are fully prepared for any incidents that may occur in our wet-side facilities. The results of this review reflect the hard work and diligence of our lifeguarding teams across the country and I would like to extend my praise to all involved.”
