Riverside Leisure Centre contract awarded to DC Leisure

The contract officially commenced on 8th March 2013 and the refurbishment project is now well underway. The first phase of improvements to Riverside Leisure Centre includes brand new fitness equipment, refurbished changing rooms, new sauna and steam rooms, a new swimming pool safety system and decoration throughout the leisure centre. The site will also soon benefit from new front of house IT and telephone systems as well as a new website.

Following these initial improvements, the group exercise class offering will be increased and updated to breathe new life into the site’s exercise studio. DC Leisure will also introduce its Swim Academy Learn to Swim Programme to the site. Suitable for both children and adults, the programme will run for 50 weeks of the year, offering swimming skills to people of all ages and abilities in the local community.

Jeremy Boreham, Area Manager for DC Leisure, says: riverside“The refurbishment at Riverside Leisure Centre will continue to encourage the local community to partake in a healthier, more active lifestyle.  We are looking forward to working alongside Norwich City Council to provide up to date facilities and an extensive range of initiatives for the local community.”
