Andover Leisure Centre Member wins £1000

Rebecca Elliot, age 24 from Fyfield, Andover scooped the £1000 prize by taking part in the Places Locker App Challenge. Customers were invited to enter the App challenge and log their workouts in the App, they had to complete at least 10 exercise sessions over October and November 2017.

Winning the £1000 prize has enabled Rebecca to now spend Christmas with her parents on the Isle of Wight and buy her family presents, which she otherwise would not have been able to do.

We asked Rebecca if she had a health and fitness New Year’s resolution “My New Years fitness resolution is to come and try some group workout classes.”.

Rebecca’s favourite way to keep fit is Swimming and she is going to work towards training for the 5k Swimathon next year to raise money for charity.

Ian Souch, Manager at Andover Leisure Centre “This was a national App Challenge competition ran by Places for People Leisure, and we are pleased that an Andover Leisure Centre member has won the prize. Look out for our next App Challenge with prizes in the New Year!”
