Are you hitting the government exercise guideline of 150 minutes per week?
Government guidelines state that Adults should be aiming for 150 minutes of moderate exercise a week. Exercise such as cycling, walking and even housework can count towards your goal.
Here at Places for People Leisure we offer a range of exercise classes for all abilities and can create a personalised gym programme just for you. We can help you achieve the 150 minute goal, which you can work towards both in and out of the Leisure Centre, using our Places Locker App to count your daily moves.
NHS Choices says that adults between 19-64 years should look to achieve the exercise goal below:
- at least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity such as cycling or brisk walking every week, and
- strength exercises on two or more days a week that work all the major muscles (legs, hips, back, abdomen, chest, shoulders and arms)
