Exciting New Gym Development

The latest updates on our gym and studio development

Foundations are in, and we are getting excited.

You will have seen the bike storage facility now moved to the other side of the centre and lots of digging where they used to be. The pleasant weather in June and early July has allowed our team to make good progress with the foundations for the new studio.

We are finalising plans for the gym layout, but have been able to confirm some of the equipment you will see in our new look and new feel gym. In the new gym you are going to get a lot more space for ‘functional training’ including a fitness rig and spring track along with new free weights, benches etc. For those of you who regularly watch Joe Wicks on social media we are bringing in a Skill Mill to add to your cardio programme. We’ll also be testing your reactions with our new reaction wall and allowing you time for some core work and flexibility in our enlarged Core and Flex area.

The new gym is going to be 45% larger and the work to the gym expansion will start immediately after the new studios have been completed. Both studios will be fully air conditioned and provide more space for more classes than ever before.

Activity Room Closure – Class Changes

The Activity Room will be closing on 4th September so work can begin on converting it to a new air conditioned studio and access to the new larger studio.

We have tried to limit disruption and still bring you the wide range of classes that are currently on offer. Our online timetables and booking system has been updated with the following changes effective 4th September:

Mondays

07.00 – 07.30 Indoor Cycling will move to the Studio

07.00 – 07.30 HIIT will move to the Sports Hall, Court 1

17.45 – 18.30 Indoor Cycling will move to the Studio at a new time of 17.00 – 17.45 in the Studio

18.45 – 19.45 Stretch & Core will move to a new time of 21.00 – 21.45 in the Studio

20.00 – 21.00 Body Balance will move to the Sports Hall, Court 2

Body Max at 17.00 will be temporarily removed from the programme after the last session on Bank Holiday Monday 28th August.

Tuesdays

06.45 – 07.30 Indoor Cycling will move to the Studio

17.30 – 18.00 HIIT will move to the Sports Hall, Court 4

18.00 – 19.00 Indoor Cycling will move to a new time of 18.00 – 18.45 in the Studio

Tabata (Paid Class) 18.05 – 19.00 will begin in  the Sports Hall, Court 4

 

Wednesdays

06.45 – 07.30 Pilates will move to the Sports Hall, Court 1

07.00 – 07.30 Indoor Cycling will move to the Studio

18.00 – 18.30 Indoor Cycling will move to a new time of 17.15 – 17.45 in the Studio

19.30 – 20.15 Pilates will move to the new time of 21.00 – 21.45 in the Studio

20.00 - 20.45 Body Jam will move to the Studio

20.15 – 21.15 Body Balance will move to the Sports Hall, Court 1

Indoor Cycling at 18.30 will be temporarily removed from the programme after the last session on Wednesday 30th August.

 

Thursday

17.15 – 1800 Fat Blasters will move to the Sports Hall, Court 1

18.00 – 18.45 Indoor Cycling will move to a new time of 17.00 – 17.45 in the Studio

19.00 – 19.30 Indoor Cycling will move to a new time of 21.00 – 21.30 in the Studio

 

Friday

06.45 – 07.30 Indoor Cycling will move to the Studio

17.00 – 18.00 Box Fit will move to the Sports Hall, Court 1

18.00 – 18.45 Indoor Cycling will move to a new time of 17.00 – 17.45 in the Studio

 

Saturday

10.00 – 10.30 Indoor Cycling will move to a new time of 10.15 – 10.45 in the Studio
