WALKING

The centre has full pedestrian links to all local transport links and local residential areas.

CYCLING

Birmingham City Council’s aim to ‘get more people cycling more often, to reduce traffic congestion and improve our activity levels, our health and our environment’ and as such we will work in partnership to promote their use where possible and will introduce new initiatives.

The site layout provides 12 cycle parking spaces for bicycles at the front of the building. Cycle routes to the site from the surrounding areas will be identified in the leisure centre on public information displays.

BUS

The site benefits from bus stops immediately outside the site providing access to the following services:


•    5- From Birmingham, Church Centre- Solihull, Station Road via Monkspath. From Monday- Friday it runs every 20 minutes in the morning and day time, and every 30 minutes in the evening. On Saturday it runs every 30 minutes in the morning, every 20 minutes during the day, and every hour during the evening. On Sundays it runs every 30 minutes in the morning and day time, and every hour in the evening.

•    6- Birmingham, Carrs Lane- Solihull, Solihull Station Interchange. On Monday- Friday it runs every 5-6 minutes in the morning, every 6-8 minutes during the day, and every 20 minutes in the evening. On Saturday is runs every 15 minutes in the morning, every 6-8 minutes during the day, and every 10-30 minutes in the evening. On Sundays, it runs every 30 minutes in the morning, every 20 minutes during the day, and every hour in the evening. On Sundays, it runs every 30 minutes in the morning and day time, and every hour during the evening.

•    6a- Birmingham, Carrs Lane- Solihull, Solihull Station Interchange. On Monday-Saturday every 6 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes during the evening. There is no service on a Sunday.

•    31- Birmingham, Church Centre- Solihull, Station Road. On Monday to Friday every 30 minutes in the morning, every 20 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes during the evening. On Saturdays, it will run every 30 minutes in the morning, every 20 minutes during the day, and every 30 minutes during the evening. On Sundays it will run every 30 minutes.

•    36- Sparkbrook- Heartlands Hospital via Acocks Green, from Greet, St John’s Road- Alum Rock, Aston Road. On Mondays to Fridays every 40-50 minutes from 06:39- 17:53. On Saturdays every 50 minutes from 09:37-17:08. There is no service on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

TRAINS

Sparkhill Pool and Fitness Centre is located at just 3.2 miles from Birmingham Moor Street train station with good public transport links. Ample parking is available with the station and local and national connections can be accessed making the facility extremely amenable for centre patrons.

CAR

There is no allocated site car park; however there is a public use car park at the rear of the building.
