So it’s Shrove Tuesday on 13th February and people traditionally stock up on eggs, lemons and lashings of sugar to create their pancake treats, however these days many of us are trying to cut down on our intake of the white stuff in favour of the right stuff, especially if we are watching our weight.
And Valentine’s Day will follow on February 14th so we thought we’d share some of the tips from Heart UK for the perfect way to go sweet, try peanut butter and banana or softened apple and honey to add to your pancakes.
Basic Pancake recipe
1 seasoned non-stick frying or pancake pan
100g plain flour
300mls semi skimmed milk
1 tablespoon sunflower oil
Rapeseed oil for frying
